ABOUT THE SALE
The Annual Goodwill Community Yard Sale is one of the biggest fundraisers of the year, and a true community tradition.
You'll find games, books, toys, household items, tools, and gently loved treasures priced to move. You’ll find great condition collectibles, jewelry, artwork, china, crystal, tools, furniture, housewares, pocketbooks, sports equipment & gently loved treasures PRICED TO MOVE! Perfect for collectors, new homes, lake rentals, college bound students & bargain hunters. Perfect for college-bound students, new apartments, lake rentals, or anyone who loves a great deal. Come for the bargains, stay for the fellowship, fun, and food.
HOW TO DONATE GOODS FOR THE SALE
Highland Lakes members can donate good condition, sellable items.
All donations are subject to inspection and approval upon arrival. Be sure to review the list below of items we CAN NOT accept.
Donation Drop-Off Dates:
Thursday, July 9 - 5 pm - 8 pm
Friday, July 10 - 8 am - 4 pm

We DO NOT ACCEPT the following items:

❌ Single Glasses, mugs, plates. (Must be a set of 2 or more. Single Collectible items may be considered)
❌ Books & Magazines. Look for our Amazing Book Sale in Fall or Spring.
❌ Battery Operated Tools WITHOUT A CHARGED BATTERY and charger
❌ Candles
❌ Clothes, Shoes, Belts, Hats (WE DO ACCEPT pocketbooks, purses, wallets & backpacks)
❌ Electronic Devices (Phones,Computers,Answering machines,TV’s, computer towers, laptops)
❌ Exercise Equipment Machines
❌ Holiday Items & Decorations
❌ Items on Recall
❌ Luggage Without Wheels
❌ Stuffed Animals
❌ CD’s, VHS, DVDs
❌ Medical Devices (wheelchairs, walkers, canes)
❌ Plastic Cups or containers
❌ Bed Frames, Mattresses, Upholstered Furniture
❌ Large scale furniture (wall units, china cabinets, etc)
HOW TO DONATE FURNITURE
We DO ACCEPT Furniture that is:
✅ Under 50 Lbs weight
✅ NOT Upholstered (Fabric pieces see NOTE below)
✅ In Very Good Sellable Condition
✅ Small Dressers, Table & Chairs,side tables, Bookcases
✅ Outdoor Furniture
Furniture that is oversized or upholstered can be added to our Furniture Board. We can post photos of your item on the day of the sale and if a buyer is interested, they pay at the Yard Sale & will pick it up at your location.
To donate an oversized or upholstered piece of furniture you must submit photos, measurements & furniture details to YardsaleGCOF@gmail.com no later than JULY 9, 2026.
VOLUNTEER
The Annual Community Yard Sale continues to support our commitment to helping community members in need. This event is both a fundraiser and friend raiser, bringing the community together. Our Volunteers are the heart and soul of this event.
We need helping hands on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. If you are a HLCC member and have not helped out before please consider joining us! A great way not only to help the community but to make new friends.
HLCC Volunteer hours count toward the 20 hours needed to be invited to the Volunteer Appreciation Dinner Event in August.
